If you dont consider my blog entries very interesting, then I would suggest you dont bother reading this, because my methods obviously aernǃÙt working on you.
If your aim is to get comments, which eventually it is, then heres my simple guide to getting them.

Give your commenters something to comment on
You may think that all your inside jokes and what happened when Petronella said this this and omgz Barbera farted are really funny and amusing, but most often, nobody has any clue what your talking about and your entries are just dull drizzle that only interests you and your friends.

What you want is to write about issues, find a post on google, or bbc news, comment on it and find out what your readers think. Once you have this content by all means add a funny story from your day, but we really dont want to know how you got up, then you went shopping and you bought this this and this.

Include images in your entries. You can link to them or add thumbnails. It makes things more interesting, especially if its an arty farty photo youǃÙve taken yourself or a new photomanipulation.

Read through your posts, obviously checking for spelling and punctuation but also make sure your sentences are all present correct and couldnǃÙt be interpretted in any other way other than you intended. While your reading think to yourself. If I visited this site, would I comment on this entry?

Layout
A big fat block of text, really isnǃÙt appealing. Especially if your one of those who uses the size font that you need a magnifying glass to read. Dont use line height in a way that if a user presses ǃÚctrl plusǃ٠the text all merges together in a big mess. :squiggle:

Separate your content into paragraphes of about 4-10 lines. People will skim read, so they will read the beginning of sentences and paragraphs. Especially those at the top and the bottom, so put important statements at the top and the bottom. Things you want people to comment on.

Space out your font. Make a point of having a small font, but widely spaced between lines, this way your eyes dont get confused while reading and skip bits.

Use bold and ilalicise. Use them sparingly, hightlighting important points.

Dont write huge long posts, use a ǃÚread moreǃ٠link after three large pararaphs, if a person wants to read on they will, but its your job to make the first bit they read interesting and exciting.

Finally, not really ralated to good blog entries, but include rss and atom feed links on your site, you might not use them, but others do.
