On the Weekend and blog hacking
So this weekend Rhys came to see me :). I hijacked his blog but only because he left it logged in! I had Guy egging me on telling me to make the links pink, but I couldn’t do that, mainly because then Rhys’s blog would be as cool as mine, and we couldn’t have that, plus I was sitting on Rhys at the time and he begged me not to do it because the poor bean can’t edit his CSS (understandably I’m going to launch a campaign against stupidly complicated wordpress themes, seriously, do you need a PHP echo to do a title?! grrr!)

He got his revenge though. And yes I do sleep like that! My bum looks huuuuuge too

Gaming
To defend myself on my Microsoft Product Purchase. I hate Microsoft, but I only hate their monopolising of the market, of course there software has more than its fair share of bugs, but I despise them for their selfishness. This opinion however only reflects on their PC section, ignoring all their other campaigns and such the xbox, in my books is a hit. Let me put forth my Argument.

The Nintendo 64, was the best thing since sliced bread, Golden Eye, Tetrisphere and Banjo Kazooie. Similarly, the playstation original, while not (in my opinion) graphically comparable to the n64 was pretty good, afterall, it had spyro didn’t it! That was the first wave of game consoles, I like to think of the n64 winning that round, just because of Goldeneye!

Then we get the second round, The Playstation 2, yeah it was good, but it was hugely expencive and lets be honest, noone likes sony anyway, Their products are ridiculously overpriced and their marketing department is a shambles lol! Then came the xbox, graphically superb, great games, like halo it had it made. Similarly so did the gamecube. *insert pikmin sound here*.

Now for my commentry on the 3rd round of consoles. The PS3 is screwed, we all know it. Blue-Ray? are you kidding sony? Noone wants your inferior media format. The xbox 360, I’ve played it and its amazing! similarly, so is the wii, but I will be honest here, as a long time Nintendo fan (and I still am). The wii is a novelty. Its fun for a group of people, but its no more graphically advanced than the gamecube, the mii’s are poorly animated in wiiSports and noone likes to play games standing up all the time! I like to sit in bed and kill some zombies. I predict that while the wii may sell loads initially, until they bring out something that everyone except die hard ninty fans and the whole of japan can enjoy, then the wii will be a graphically inferior novelty toy.

Phew, gaming rand over, in summary xbox is a good console! And now I finally have one! I thought I had a special one too…

Its fucking huge and extremely heavy though!! I bought sonic for it but It came with a choice of 1 of 4 games, splinter cell 1 or 2, rainbow 6 or XIII. I didn’t want any of them, I have splinter cell for PC - I’m crap at it, I dont like team player games and XIII is fucking hard. I went to buy it and was immediately treated as if I didn’t know what I was doing, they described the aforementioned games as “Shooting”, “Shooting with rubber”, “Shooting with more Rubber” and “cartoon shooting”. It took three guys to explain that to me, (2 of which were supposed to be serving other customers!) Similarly when I went into a computer exchange shop, I wanted to buy and xbox but they only had a softmodded one, I said “oh whats that?” meaning what mods, and I instantly recieved a dumbed down talk on things I already knew.

grrrr sometimes I hate being a femgeek.

Photography
Rhys has decided he wants to take some arty photos so he can get some moo cards like mine. So I’ve decided to write a series of cheap photography related tutorials, emphasis on the cheap here because I know you don’t all have DSLR’s like my beast, so I will do all the tutorials with my Ixus 65.

If theres anything in particular you want me to concentrate on I will, I’ll start by doing “behind the scenes” of some of my photos so you can see how their done. Then I’ll do macro and its various techniques, Portraiture and all the while be covering lighting and other camera settings you should be aware of. I’ll also recommend some good cameras depending on what level your interested in.

In other news, My disease has come back, except now I don’t think its tonsilitus, I think its Mumps, I say this because I have a huge painful lump in front and slightly below my ear, my glands are swollen and my throat is incredibly sore, i can’t eat anything but grapes, and its all on the right side, the left is fine. I’m actually getting ear ache from the pressure the lumps causing now. I’m really doing a good job on promoting my image aren’t I! With my huge lumps! ;)
