Ah boxing day, a day for fixing all the broken presents and sending things back :) Oh and the DFS sale has started, again!

Did everyone have a great christmas? I sure did! It was a little lonely with just the three of us and really quite sad, for our christmas lunch, we had turkey but only a crown which was tiny. Still we do tend to go overboard with the present buying! Especially my dad! I got three cards this year, sadly, one from Rhys (no I’m not wearing the badges) one from the rents and a fucking massive one from Mark. It blocked out all the light in the room! *lesigh* he knows me far too well! Shaun the sheep DVD, Ratatoullie book, Maltesers, Cuddly Yoshi and the cutest softest little bear ever! Sadly my parents know me too well too, A James Martin Cookbook (chosen for the amount of pictures! I love James Martin but I’m also wanting to start on food photography so I’m collecting ideas!) Some electric scales (for which we have no batteries!), sugary sweet things which will be a great help for fuel on my lovely new wii :)

Ah yes, the most demanded console over christmas :) They ordered it from Germany so the instructions are foreign but who reads those anyway! At least the plug is British. Most of yesterday was spent in a small room with a 42″ tv and hyper parents beating me at tennis, I owned them at bowling though! They love the thing they kept coming in to play it all of yesterday and as I speak my mums jumping up and down owning the cpu at tennis!

They also bought me Zelda and Mario Galaxy, which I’ve hardly had a chance to play since they’ve been on it! I’m adoring both though until I get stuck on one. I’ve already managed to pull a muscle from zelda, I get all panicky when an enemy comes to attack me so I just shake both controllers until it dies! It took me HOURS to learn to fish though, I just hope its not a main feature of the game.

I suppose a game review will have to surface soon, but I’m off to see family tomorrow and friends the next so I’m gonna be cut off from my precious wii, least I have a DS!

Phew! I’ve been so busy the last week I’ve hardly had time to sit down! I finished my last exam on monday morning, an hour before everyone else. After the exam we all went into town to a costume shop for wednesday, the plan for the night was to go to the works, a nightclub but they all decided not to go, I went anyway with some other mates. I was pretty drunk, which meant the next day I was mightily hungover! I somehow managed to get into town to go shopping for the next night out, and by about 6oclock I was feeling fine and went to see POTC3! I’ll tell you what I think when I’ve watched the other two again!

Wednesday was my mates birthday during the day we took a road trip ice skating, which was pretty fun! Especially as we stopped off at KFC on the way! I was pretty appalling at ice skating but I did have a good teacher. The main even of wednesday was the Gaming themed pub crawl! We looked mightily stupid getting on a bus! Photos are here. Thursday I returned home from Canterbury land and on Friday I went up to London to the Star Wars, the Exibition! More photos here.

It was pretty exciting, there were movies on all the special effects which I made a point of watching, afterall that is what I want to do! The models were all so realisting I was terrified they’d suddenly move! All the rooms were really dark too which added to the terrifyingness of it all!

It was kind of a spur of the moment thing, but I bought myself a DS lite! I’m well aware that at this precise moment in time I can’t afford it, but I *should* be getting paid from my last client soon. We’ll I’ve sent the invoice!

Speaking of money, I gave in my CV at PC World the other week. A week later we tried calling them but each store doesn’t have an individual number so I only got through to the head office who said they weren’t recruiting for a while. Crap! Imagine my surprise when today, three weeks later a lovely lady phones me up and tells me their doing general inquiries on Monday! I’m taking this as an informal interview but I’m so excited and so nervous!

I haven’t worked in a PC place for over a year and as we all know - I’m all about teh macs now! What if I don’t know enough! Maybe they’ll let me sell macs there!?

so, the DS!

I went for white, I considered black but my nanos black and I’d always wished I’d gotten white. (I said black as an emo reflex!) Its lovely, if a bit small :S It reminds me of the original Gameboy Advance before they changed it completely with the SP! I always found it really difficult to play so I immediately swapped for the SP when it came out. It also depends at which angle your sitting as to whether you can hold it, but for animal crossing, the game I bought it with it doesn’t matter because the whole games controlled with the stylus! The little character follows you around! If it hadn’t been for that I think the game would me mightily pants tbh!

The game basically consists of catching butterflies, beach combing and fishing! When Tom Nook has a spade I’ll dig for fossils too and assemble dinosaurs! I’ve already paid off loads of my mortgage too. It really is like real life and they have events, for example on Sunday theres a fishing fair!

I’ve decided to buy Dr Kawishimas brain training because I love puzzles and strategy games but I also want another game that I can just play, but I need suggestions from all you DS owners! Mario 64? How are the controls on Mario Kart?! Diddy Kong Racing? I had all of these on the n64, Is Yoshi Story anything like the n64 game!? Cos I completed that in a few hours! (the only other game I’ve ever completed was harry potter on the playstation!) So games games games people! I need ideas! (and money! LOL!) Do sign up to Text-Link-Ads!
