I’m in Florida!

I’ll start from the beginning - the flight, which would be boring to write about had I not been in first class!

It was awesome. Completely flat bed, metal cutlery and for lunch a big fat juicy steak on a proper plate, with a tablecloth, salt and pepper shakers, nice roll and curls of butter not those plastic ones you get back in cattle! Oh and free champagne!

I sneaked a few photos before the plane doors closed and I had to turn off my phone! I was right in the nose of the plane, below the pilots.

The flight was delayed for a few hours because George Bush was landing or taking off - grr. He caused a queue of 10 planes! Then they decided to close the runway to prepare for VIP’s that weren’t arriving for 2 days! We took off in the end though! Got to spend more time in first class though!

I still maintain my hatred for Miami airport. Its not nice at all! I had bad experiences there when I was coming back from Honduras.

We collected our hire car, a big fat giant beast of a thing - it used half a tank of petrol going from Miami to Marco island - I could do that on a quarter of a tank in my car!!

We stayed one night in a hotel in Miami, right on miami beach, I’d include photos but my dads camera refuses to cooperate, just imagine me on a wooden boardwalk next to a lovely beach :D

On Saturday we drove around Miami a bit then headed for Marco island. We looked (as in drove :P!) around Naples for a while before heading to our house. We were dithering because we were supposed to arrive at 4 but it was 2 and supposedly there were cleaners in the house.

The house is massive. Its very ‘floridian’ in its decoration!

Yes thats a giant paper mache parrot! Its horrid and it keeps looking at me :S!

The jacuzzi is lovely, so is the heated pool! Shame the plates/cups are plastic and that we’ve found two (dead) cockroaches and I’m sleeping with the raid by my bed! I hate bugs!

We’ve not really had a chance to look round since we got here. We’ve been to the supermarket and thats about it - today the real holiday begins! :P

I’m off to florida in an hour and a half, or at least to the airport where it shall be smooth sailing as we’re flying first class :D

I’m sorry I’ve not been around much but a lots been going on in my life recently and the interwebs kind of took back stage! If your my friend on livejournal you can read about it there. Its just a bit personal and boring to post about here!

We’re taking a laptop with us so expect updates as I go :P

I’ve done nothing all week except watch Jeeves and Wooster that is until today when I saw the Sex and the City movie, which isn’t really my thing at all! Soppy girly films but it was actually really good. It was done well considering I’ve never watched an episode of Sex and the City! I understood the different characters and everything. It could be because I’m used to watching films in foreign and working out what is happening though :P oh and macs used throughout! :love:

I also hacked my psp whilst watching lost - I’m really making use of friends with box sets recently! I wanted to be able to emulate all my old Gameboy, SNES, n64 games on there and guess what - now I can! It took me a while to understand how to do it. Once you’ve read up a bit and sorted through all the letters and numbers its surprisingly simple to do, though it can be pretty confusing.

This week [online] I’m positively famous! As I said in my last post Darren Grover has posted an Interview with me. Why he decided to interview me I don’t know but what amused me was that his feed goes into several LibDem sites, with the title “Interview with a vampire. I mean, blogger”. lol at them!

My guest post on Rhys’ site has also been published today, Driving is always a source of much discussion! Especially when I’m involved!

I’m making the most of my time off before I start working in July. I’ve had a few people contact me for webdesign work but I simply don’t have the time. I’m enjoying these last few days at uni, watching boxsets and getting drunk at Artsfest. Then its off home on monday to get the mother to do some washing before I fly off to Florida next week. Eee!
