Rhys has buggered off to the U.S of A for the next week or so and he’s left me and Celeste in charge of Shagablogger.com! Its not a pervy dirty dating site its just a bit of a joke - but please sign up!

I’d like to mention that I booked going to America first - Rhys copied me! My ex and I were planning to go before - well, we broke up lol! I haven’t mentioned this before (or the fact that Mark and I broke up but thats not very interesting!) but I’m off to Florida on the 13th June.

We’ll be spending the first week in/on Marco Island and the Second near Bradenton. I have no clue what these places are like but we’re not a family for touristy places - we’ve done all the theme parks before so this time we’re trying something a little different, but I don’t quite know what that is!

The weirdest thing is I said to a few people at uni they’re welcome to come too and only one person said yes - he’s booked his tickets and quite bizarrely he’s coming to stay with us in the second week! If we fall out it’ll be a bit annoying seeing as soon as we come back he’s moving into my house!

No - we’re not going out as SO many people ask me! Why is it that a girl and a guy can’t be friends, go shopping, to the cinema etc without people assuming your a couple?

Summer ball! woo!

Ingredients: pretty dress, borrowed jewellery (I own hardly any jewellery) and a new bag.

I had the wonderful idea of making a podcast of me getting ready for the ball, but it didn’t work as the image was reversed and I kept getting confused! Suffice it to say I looked like this:

We started the day with a trip into town to get some new makeup and other girly “prepare for classy night out” items! lol. Ouch :P I had a nice lunch with a friend in Starbucks and went home for major preparations!

My hair went impressively well, I had a shower early so I’d have time for another one if my hair went wrong! Make up was a whole other story though!

I went sliiightly overboard on the eyeliner, using liquid as I usually do and following advice from my friend made it less harsh using kohl - I looked like a panda! Not really ball makeup! So half an hours worth of make up had to go! I didn’t know what colours to put with my orangey pink dress so I went with gold and pink which worked really well.

A friend drove us up in her five door car, essential when wearing a dress! The ball was in the main carpark of the university. There were loads of different tents, it was like radio one’s big weekend again! In fact there was a radio 1 tent with Nick Grimshaw, Colin Murray and Fearne Cotton. There was also The Wombats, Taio Cruz, Vengaboys, Wideboys, Doug Walker, Jaguar Skillz, Maybe Winehouse. Not to mention dodgems, fairground rides, a temporary tattoo artist and a very scary looking ride! (and no I didn’t go on it!)

The wombats were amazing but I didn’t really hear much of them as I lost my friends at this point! I was attacked by Sean and not allowed to leave so I spent most of the night with him and his friends until I could find my housemates again! (they’d run off!)

I managed to get right to the front for the vengaboys who are amazing lol! I loved them then and I still do!

We only stayed at the front for two songs as I kept being crushed! My poor toes!

I found my friends soon after and when the Vengaboys finished we decided to leave. Problem was it was raining! I couldn’t have walked home even if I was in trainers. I just can’t walk in rain (or heels!), so when we got to where we used to live on campus I called for a taxi - and managed to get one! Even though 4000 people were also calling for taxis!

By this point we were soaked through:

Getting home and taking off my chest crushing strapless bra and ankle raping heels was the best feeling ever, though not as good as getting into my pajamas, cosy jumper and fluffy slippers!

I don’t really remember much of the night which is the worrying thing! I didn’t drink *that* much which concerns me slightly - oh well, I had a great time!

I bought this dress over a week ago now but I’ve had so much else to blog about I’ve only had time to include it now! Its for the Summer Ball on Saturday Night.

It cost far too much but it looks brilliant! I can wear it to more things too than a longer strapless dress. I just think this one is cute! Its from Karen Millen.
