I know I only moved to a wonderful new server a few months ago, but I’ve never had free hosting before other than the 0mb site/domain Matts hosting for me! So I felt it was time I bought myself some hosting. I’ve decided to go for a reseller because I’m currently hosting 2 other domains apricot13.org and Guy, with a reseller I get to give each of the domains their own cpanel, whether I trust Guy with cpanel or not is another matter! All those pretty buttons to press ;)

All that remains is for me to say a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge thankyou to Michael whos been hosting me! Hes been so kind, but I don’t like to rely on people.

I visited a site recently, which normally goes on about boring things that noones interested in, you know, “today Petronella did this and it was so funny” which its not because NOONE KNOWS WHO FUCKING PERTONELLA IS. Or theres the post about some guy you like whos not interested or something of equal uninterest except to you and your closest friends. So this site had digressed from that, to talking about some form of tax software. Now I for a fact know this person didn’t have a clue what they were talking about, because they were twelve. I suppose there could be the odd exception for the odd tax paying twelve year old, but lets just be sure in the knowledge that this person has never paid a tax bill. So they were talking at length about this software and how it had helped them so much, then there was the obligatory referral link, for which they’ll get no clicks because again, the average readership age of this site was 12. (I take all this back if theres a ring of tax paying twelve year olds)

My point being? If your going to do a pay per post post, then for the love of god, choose something relevant to you that you can talk about!

While we’re on the topic of money and blogs, Rhys and I are determined that google will pay for our holiday. I for one never thought I’d see a cent of money from Text-link-Ads but low and behold, I come back from a particularly fun Java Lecture (in which I did no work) and found this:

So, If you didn’t believe in it before join text-link-ads and get referring. I also recieved $0.99 for selling links, lets hope that goes up.

But at least for now, with apricot13.org needing renewing next month I’ll be able to afford that, and then hopefully soon a nice cheap reseller or hosting package with addon domains so I can host myself and not rely on the kindness of Michael :)
