Well this weekend has been eventful to say the least! Rhys came down friday night and we ate out in Nandos. I swear I’ve never seen someone eat so fast in my life, it was quite off putting! Especially since he spent the rest of the meal staring at me, even worse! *hears agreements from the girly readers*
Today we didn’t really do much, I sat in bed while Rhys was on the ol’ (or not so ol’ depending on how you look at it!) macbook. Then had a nice boiled egg and soldiers for breakfast, we didn’t really do much until I went to make bagels for lunch. I was in the kitchen cutting the bagles and like I’ve done twice before I cut myself with the knife (a serrated one if your really squeamish!) this time it was the end of the knife, don’t worry it was only a centimeter deep and it didn’t bleed too much. I carried on though I told Rhys the one already in the toaster could be his because I don’t think his vampire tendencies aren’t as developed as mine! I wouldn’t say I was bleeding hugely but Rhys insisted I went and put something on it but I was fine or so I thought until I suddenly felt really dizzy its hard to describe i felt sick and it was as if someone else was holding me up and I could hardly stand I went to sit down and a few seconds later I still felt awful and I anounced I was going for a lie down. The next thing I remember hearing a loud bang and I was on the floor.
For a second I thought maybe I’d laid down (like I sometimes do - don’t ask) but then I didn’t remember doing it. I remember hearing Rhys say something and then my flatmates were in the kitchen. It was all rather scary! I was all cold and chilly and my head/hand hurt like fuck! I was a complete girl and was in tears one second, hysterical another, joking the next then I was so tired! I think Rhys thought I was going to die!
My flatmates called the ambulance and when he saw my hand he was like “you call that a cut” which I felt was rather rude of him, I’m not squeamish at all, I’ve trodden on a metal bar before and have it go through my foot so trust me the site of blood does not make me faint (I’ll take that back if it happens again!) He took my blood pressure which was fine but I had low blood sugar, which was odd because I’d eaten a huge breakfast :S So personally I think it was a combination of that and shock.
We got into a bit of trouble for phoning the ambulance without phoning for campus watch and it was even worse when he wrote on my form “no obvious injuries other than a minor nic on the hand” That really angered me, but at the time I didn’t care! (now I do!) He gave me a piece of paper with information about head injuries which I wish I hadn’t read because so far I’ve had all of them! My outer helix piercing really hurts too cos I landed quite hard on it!
