So I’m officially home for christmas, until the 7th of January. Its so good to be home, free food (and I dont have to cook it!) sky - especially UKTVfood which has delia smith ALL DAY! *mmmm* and of course, the best bed in the world, mine! Its so comfy, you just sink into it! It also happens to be a double bed so I can spread out, I’ve decided its impossible to sleep straight in a double bed, I keep waking up horizontal and wondering why my feet are hanging off the end of the bed. Which trust me is not a usual occurance if your 5″2!

Now I suppose your expecting me to go on about all our christmas decorations, but alas, no can do, because we havn’t got any! We’re not a family of scruges but my dads away in China till sometime next week and he’s the one that deals with the christmas tree. Theres one thing I hate about christmas and thats getting the christmas tree, I refuse to do it on the principal that its mean. I go to Squires and theres loads of trees and theres lots of people taking home the big green trees and I feel really sorry for all the christmas trees that wont get bought, the one with the odd branch, or one which is slightly short and brown.

Do you know who I blame for my inability to buy christmas trees, Nat King Cole its all his fault. Every christmas when I was little we’d have Nat King Cole playing in the apartment, over and over, so that song always made me feel bad for the trees :( The Little Christmas Tree.

Yesterday I had Coffee with shell in staines, we went back to her house and shes now got me hooked on babylon 5! Her dads a bit of a trekkie and recently he bought some star trek things from an auction at christies.

Everyone seems to be all busy making their calendars for 2007 so I’m curious, If I made one, would you buy it? I’m going to make one for portrait photos, one for macro and i’m also thinking of making a china one as well? I know its probably a bit overdone but I’m going to make a shop where you can buy cool posters for your walls, postcards to send to your mates (pretending your in a different country to where you are!) greetings cards in time for christmas and new year and perhaps the odd mug too. I may even venture into books and you can get a coffee table book of photography :)

Its just an idea, I do hope you’ll look at things and buy them. I don’t plan on making anything expensive, because its not really for profit although I would like to eat at some point….I’m a lowly student.

As you may or may not be aware Rhys came to stay for the weekend. It was fantastic, apart from the restaurant in the previous post! We went out to the venue on saturday, Rhys didn’t like that…I did! I’m not much of a drinker and I didn’t drink much …(at least not the ones rhy’s saw me drink! - thats why girls always take so long in the loo, we get a drink then go back!) but I’m such a lightweight I was a bit gone! Wasn’t sure if the headache in the morning was because of alcohol or because of the way i’d slept….
Heres a lovely picture of us int he venue, not the slightest bit of lechery going on here!

rapage!

(it was school disco night hence the outfits….thank god you cant see the length of skirt I’m wearing!)

Sunday we didn’t really do…much. We got up at 10, lazed around, bought some food for dinner. Then monday I was left waving at the station. All I’ve had to amuse myself with today is washing and C programming. woe. Although this afternoon I did don my santa hat and go and give out christmas presents!

This is a joint guest post, writing this post with the gorgeous han is everybody’s favourite Welshman - Rhys, him of blogging and awesome forum fame.

One of the more bloggable elements of the weekend was a trip into Canterbury city centre. I needed an inflatable mattress and headphones (that’s all you need to know about it), and we met up with some of Han’s friends for lunch. Weatherspoons was packed, so - in our infinite wisdom - headed to a bar called Bar Eleven.

Should you ever go to Canterbury, be it to see the cathedral, see Han or just to cause trouble, never ever go there for food. Bar Eleven is an apt name as it seems to be the average IQ of the staff and normal clientîle.

We ordered a duck wrap and chinese noodles. Han braved the loud obnoxious chavs to order. Then we all sat down and waited…and waited. During our long wait we were ‘entertained’ by the behaviour of the other customers. Bearing in mind it was 2 in the afternoon, the regulars were absolutely wankered. They started off the ‘entertainment’ with what could only be described as an epileptic fit to Mariah Carey ‘all I want for christmas is you’. They later progressed to chucking one of their number out of the pub and yelling at people not to let him back in. When he was finally allowed back in, one particularly nauseating chav decided to flash passers by, she made some poor old mans day! I thought it was quite amusing when he reached into his pocket and waved a ten pound note!

After an hour and half our food finally arrived, the waitress walked up to the table and said “I dont know what this is, it looks like noodles” which we all assumed was mine. I merrily tucked into it until she arrived with the real noodles……’These are your noodles darlin’!’ she exclaimed to poor Han, as if to try and pass the guilt onto her, instead to her unbelievable ineptness.

The way I see it (Han) I saved the guy who’s meal I ate It was truly terrible. I might as well have eaten the knife and fork as the chicken was rock solid, I hate pesto and the noodles were cold!
